Since we first began, the Weird Sisters has been inspired and advised by LA Women’s Shakespeare Company and its artistic director, Lisa Wolpe. Lisa recently sent us this announcement about an exciting upcoming show. Please pass the word along to folks you know in the LA area.

The Weird Sisters are proud to be performing as part of the DYSfunction

A two-hour smorgasbord fiesta safari of Austin independent theatre! An event geared to bring a bunch of Austin theatre groups into one room to show their stuff, and to help raise funds for Dystheatre’s 2011 production of Sam Shepard’s True West. The DYSfunction is a night like no other. Hosted by the inimitable singer/songwriter Southpaw Jones, a dozen theatre companies will each perform a scene related to familial dysfunction.

Doors open at 7:30
Performances begin at 8pm.
